A survey of the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat. Published to accompany an exhibition held at the Whitney Museum and published only a year after his death, making it one of the more rare Basquiat monogoraphs. The book contains so many illustrations of paintings, drawings and collages which were mostly unpublished until now. The text includes essays by Dick Hebdige, Klaus Kertess, Richard Marshall, Rene Ricard, Greg Tate, Glenn O'Brien and Robert Farris Thompson.
