BACK TO BLACK! THESE THREE PRE-PARIS COMME DES GARCONS CATALOGUES WERE ALL ISSUED IN1977. THERE ARE IMAGES HERE WEHAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE. THESHORT CROP HAIR COVER WITH THE LEISURE WEAR BLOUSON IS SO FAR AHEAD OF ITS TIME WE DON'T THINKIT HAS EVEN HAPPENED YET!
It takes a bit of looking at this cover. It is just so surprisingly good. If the model and the hair might be considered unusual for a 1977 Japanese fashion catalogue, the jacket is astounding.
We have written about early Comme before - notably with Comme Des Garcons 1975-82 but even that super book does not include these images.

We would surely remember if we had seen this big hair and beret combination before. She has the most turned down mouth ever! :(
