It is really pink! It is also as cool as the blue water pool on the cover. A photo-love story of Terry and his partner Alex (Skinny by nickname) from first meeting to the birth of their twin sons. All told over 160 pages of full on / full of love photographs.
We are getting ahead of ourselves but we do love this picture! Rewind - back up. This is Alex last year. They first met in 2004 and she didn't look exactly like this then.
She looked more exactly like this. Love the cool looks. Love the LED date stamp. Kind of helps to be photogenic if you are going to appear in a book with your name on the cover and 160 photos of you on the inside.
It is part Araki style obsessional single subject photobook and part family album. Alex is the irrepressible nude and Terry does not miss a stunning landscape when he sees one.
And it is not all sunsets in the Grand Canyon either. This may be our favourite photograph in the book. Love is... two large Pepsis and a chicken basket.
Then of course things take a turn for the better! The book doesn't follow any strict chronological order but it does end with the birth of the twins. After so much sun and sex and work and attitude, the birth comes at you in waves of pain and shock and awe. The camera doesn't flinch! You can see more of the book and the birth on this link.
