History In Cuttings

COPY THIS. THE FACTORY FACSIMILE. THE JOY
DIVISION AND NEW ORDER BOOTLEG IS A SUPERBOOK
IN STAPLES. THE TITLE:  A HISTORY IN CUTTINGS PARTS
1 AND 2. AND IAN CURTIS. LOOKING GOOD IN
PHOTOCOPY. LIKE NO ONE EVER DID.

Menswear. And. Some subtitle that is. A History In Cuttings - 160 Pages of Vital Information . We love a bootleg book. Anything unofficial is immediately in contention. But no one did this kind of book and this kind of look better than the uncredited anonymous authors of Joy Division New Order . And it's not straight (which we love).

Transformer. Not even Lou Reed could match Ian Curtis in monochrome. Not so much drained of colour as saturated in black and white.

A bootleg book of bootleg records. Each cover is itself an unofficial mini-masterpiece. Peter Saville yes. Reverse lean italic YES!

And a sequel. Part 2 is MORE! That red circle is actually a faded scarlet version of the Unknown Pleasures graphic (itself appropriated of course). Looks unintentionally Japanese. Also runs to 160 pages. See more of both volumes on this link

People you don't expect to see sitting under a Castiglioni lamp number one: Joy Division. Such style is rare anywhere. In this book such style is everywhere. It is how to look - the book. Copy it.
