Made in Heaven

JEFF KOONS' MADE IN
HEAVEN PAINTINGS.  FIRST EXHIBITED IN 1990. THAT
WAS BEFORE THE DIVORCE, ABDUCTION, LOST CUSTODY AND DESTRUCTION. SHOWN AGAIN IN 2010. AND THAT
WAS WHEN THIS BOOK WAS PUBLISHED. A HISTORY OF ITSELF. OF THE BED UNMADE.

Knowing it exists is not nearly enough. It is all about having it. The book of the Jeff Koons'  Made In Heaven Paintings shown at the Luxembourg & Dayan Gallery in New York in 2010 is a super scarce superbook.

In the beginning. These photographs produced as life size inkjet paintings were shot by Riccardo Schicchi. He was the collaborator of Ilona Staller aka La Cicciolina. Koons hired them both to make these works. Koons then married Ilona. And BTW if you have XXX reservations, look away now. The next picture is more revealing.

The look of love. However Koons and Staller divorced in 1994. Koons lost a custody battle for their son Ludwig. He destroyed many of these pictures. Possibly as he felt it would not help his case in court - although that might equally apply to either parent! Much more graphic are the images on this link. It is, in our opinion, the actual sex that you are supposed to be looking at with this series. So please do look!

A third party. Hardly needs saying but that is a really, really super good Helmut Newton photograph. It is as good as any we have seen. Newton would have produced the portrait of David Lynch and Isabella Rossellini at around the same time. The pair of the pair of them just perfect.

The phrase is 'extreme close up'! We have one copy of the book and, other than that copy, none to be found. Hit button below to but. It has to be had.
